Exercise during pregnancy can help vascular health in children

According to a recent study published in the Experimental Physiology journal, exercising while you are pregnant can have a lasting impact on your child's vascular  health.

Researchers from California State University and the University of Greifswald in Germany conducted experiments on pregnant pigs because their response is similar to humans.

The researchers found that exercise had a big impact on how well blood flowed through the veins of the pigs' adult offspring.

Current guidelines recommend about 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily during pregnancy.
