Bring out that beauty in you

Everybody wants to be younger and never wants to get old. Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process, but these days people take drastic measures at early ages to prevent them from developing. If you want to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy without having to use fillers or plastic surgery,
try these 10 tips that are sure to reduce wrinkles in the long-run.

Avoid The Sun As Much As Possible

The radiation of the sun can be very damaging and can cause premature aging to the skin, so it is important to avoid the sun as much as possible. It’s especially important to avoid the sun between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. because that’s when the rays are most powerful. If you must go out during these hours, stay away from reflective surfaces such as sand, water, glass and metal as they can intensify the sun’s rays. If you live at a higher altitude, keep in mind that your skin will burn faster so don’t spend a considerable amount of time outside.

Wear Dark Sunglasses and Sunscreen

If you’re going out on a sunny day no matter what time of the day or what time of year, be sure to put sun-glass on and a very good cover materials to cover every part of your body that will be exposed. It also doesn’t hurt to use products like lotion, makeup and lip balm that can contain small amounts of sunscreen. But sunscreen alone can’t protect your skin, so wear protective clothing such as long-sleeved shirts, wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses to fully protect your skin from the sun.

Get Plenty Of Exercise

Exercise not only keeps your body healthy, fit and strong, it keeps your skin healthy and strong as well. By exercising daily, you can increase the amount of oxygen that flows to your skin, which is key to keeping it healthy. It’s also helpful to practice neck and facial exercises that work the lips, cheeks and forehead as they can also prevent wrinkles from developing over time.

Eat Balanced Diet Foods

It is important to eat foods that contain vitamins A, B, C and E as they can protect your skin from damage from oxidation. Make sure your diet is balanced and contains plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains in order to get the recommended daily value of these vitamins. Another skin-healthy food to incorporate into your diet is oil, particularly olive oil and cod liver, which can prevent wrinkles and soften skin. If you don’t cook with olive oil often, massage some onto your skin to soak up the benefits that way.

Massage Your Skin Often

Massaging your skin is actually very beneficial because it also gets the blood and oxygen flowing to your skin, which can reduce wrinkles in the long-run. When massaging, be firm but gentle with your skin and focus on areas that wrinkle easily like the lips, neck, cheeks, forehead and upper arms. Use a moisturizer like lotion or oil, or whip up a mask of egg whites, which are full of the skin-friendly vitamins B and E, for a natural moisturizer.

Use Moisturizers

Using moisturizers is key to having youthful, healthy skin. When the skin cells dry out, that’s when fine lines and creases will begin to form. So moisturize early and often to prevent wrinkles from developing prematurely. Wash your skin with a moisturizing soap or body wash – don’t use an alkaline-based soap as that will dry out your skin – and moisturize your skin with a water-based moisturizer afterward.

Wear Self-Tanner

Some research has shown that certain chemicals in self-tanner, particularly melanin and dihydroxyacetone, can protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. However, further researcher is still needed, and you should also refrain from using self-tanner if you suffer from an allergic reaction.

Don’t Smoke

Smoking increases your risk for many health problems, but it can also wreak havoc on your skin. Smokers have a 50 percent higher chance of developing squamous cell carcinoma, which is a type of skin cancer, than non-smokers.

Don’t Drink Alcohol Before Bedtime

If you like having a glass of wine in the evening, make sure you do so at least three hours before going to bed. Research shows that alcohol increases the leakage of water into the capillaries, which naturally occurs when you lie down. Increased water leakage can cause the skin to become saggy and can even cause it to look puffy – two things you don’t want your skin to do.

Lie On Your back When Sleeping

When you lie on your side or on your stomach, your face gets smushed against the pillow. Over time, this can cause the skin on your face to develop wrinkles. Try sleeping on your back instead. Your face won’t be smushed against the pillow and gravity will hold everything in place.
