Even if the said dilemma comes into a person who has been famous, he or she may fight the battle as they have the financial resources to do so, however, they were not so lucky to win against the struggle for life.
Here are the top 10 celebrities who have died of various cancer complications. Some of whom you may know while others are only famous to a few.
10. John Walker
Born as John Joseph Maus in November 12, 1943, he was known in the music industry as John Walker, founder of the band called The Walker Brothers. He along with other two band members, Scott and Gary Walker has been famous in the 1960s, specifically in the United Kingdom. He was diagnosed of liver cancer and died in his Los Angeles home, May 7, 2011.
9. David Nelson
A person who has been exposed to the American movie industry, David Nelson, was an actor, a director, and even a producer of old time movies. He has been famous for the show “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” during the 1950s and 1960s, where his family was the actual cast with his real mother, father, and older brother. He died of colon cancer in January 1, 2011.
8. Anne Francis
If your parents loved classic science fictions in the 1950s, they may have come across with Anne Lloyd Francis in the boob tube in the 1956 production, Forbidden Planet. She has also played a role of a female detective in Honey West. She actually won a Golden Globe and she was even nominated for an Emmy. It is too bad that she died of pancreatic cancer while staying at a retirement home in Santa Barbara, California.
7. Wayne McLaren
Have you seen the Marlboro Man riding on a horse and even lighting a cigarette in his commercials? It can be kind of ironic that this same guy, who is actually a stuntman, model, and a real rodeo performer fought for an anti-smoking campaign when he was diagnosed of lung cancer. He died of the said disease, fighting hard.
6. Patrick Wayne Swayze
Did you remember Demi Moore having a love affair with a ghost? That man happens to be Patrick Swayze. He has been remembered in Ghost when it was showed in 1990, including Whoopi Goldberg in the movie. He has been named “The Sexiest Man Alive” in 1991, by People Magazine. With pancreatic cancer diagnosed in 2008, he chose to fight the battle alone and make everyone believe that he was kicking it. However, it took him away on September 14, 2009.
5. Charles Monroe Schulz
Peanuts anyone? If you have been a fan of newspaper comic strips being published on weekends, or having it posted on the kids’ section of the weekly paper, you have known Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock. Thanks to Charles Monroe Schulz, kids and even adults have been entertained with his witty and funny comic strips. His life has been full of color, even though he passed away with heart attack, while dying of cancer in February 12, 2000.
4. Walter Elias “Walt” Disney
There is no mistake that Walt Disney is the man when it comes to making cartoons and creating characters that will withstand the test of time. Ever since Mickey Mouse debuted in Steamboat Willie in 1928, success did not stop. He may have lived short with lung cancer when he died in December 15, 1966, but his legacy still lived on with Mickey and the gang still living in full color, even with castles and theme parks in many places all over the world.
3. Luciano Pavarotti
The power troika of Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras has shaken the classical music scene with tenor voice ranges that bring out power, quality, and flawless output. The trio has been successful in media and concert performances but unfortunately, Pavarotti had to leave earlier because of pancreatic cancer, which took him off for good in 6 September 2007.

Thanks to the modern version of Charlie’s Angels which was starred in the movie by Drew Barrymore, Lucy Lui, and Cameron Diaz, the youth of today have been interested with the original members of the Angels, including Farrah Fawcett. She was diagnosed with anal cancer back in 2006, and had a good fight, which ended in June 25, 2009.
