The Lassa fever epidemic which started as a rumour some weeks ago in Ondo State, has fully manifested, with five persons now hospitalized for being infected with the disease.

ONDO State governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has said no fewer than 30, 000 children below the age of one would be saved annually from Haemophilus Influenza b related death following the introduction of the pentavalent vaccine in the state.
