A woman in New Zealand inadvertently glued her lips
shut with superglue last week, superglue that she thought was cold sore
cream. Unable to talk, she called emergency for help but could only
grunt into the phone.
The woman, 64, is now alright, but she had a few
disquieting moments. It happened at night when she woke and decided to
apply cold sore cream from a drawer in the bedside table.

Aspirin may dramatically reduce risk for colon cancer, according to a
new study. But, the effect seems to be limited to people who lack
certain genetic mutations tied to tumor risk.
The study that looked at nearly 130,000 people adds more evidence to the cheap, chalky white pill's disease-fighting properties and its limitations.

Anyone can get skin cancer,
and they get it from the UV, or ultraviolet rays of the sun as well as
sun lamps and tanning booths.
Light-skinned, fair-haired and light-eyed people do have a greater risk, but dark-skinned people get it as well.
The National Cancer Institute estimates that 76,690 men and women (45,060 men and 31,630 women) will be diagnosed with and 9,480 men and women will die of melanoma of the skin, the most serious type of skin cancer, in 2013.

best part of my body, My Skin; My Beauty
There
are several natural ways to get beautiful skin. Natural beauty is not
difficult to acquire, it just requires some time and patience. I have
broken these down under two subheads to make understanding them clear.
Let us look into these smooth skin tips for you.

Diet
plays is a very important role in keeping your skin beautiful. What you
eat matters a lot to your body. If you eat too much of refined sugar,
white flour and drink too many aerated drinks, the effect on your skin
will be wrinkles and premature aging. There will be blotches and skin
patches on your skin due to these foods. Thus, eating a proper and
healthy diet is the first step towards getting beautiful skin. The
following list of foods need to be a part of your diet to get glowing
skin.
Proteins: A
deficiency in proteins makes the skin dull. Proteins need to be much in your daily diet. Soy beans, milk, sprouts, cottage cheese,
eggs, chicken are also rich sources of proteins and they must be a part
of the regular diet plan.
Carbohydrates:
Yes, carbohydrates are essential for the body. Food like honey and
brown sugar should be used in place of white sugar as they have
excellent detox capabilities. Also, white bread needs to be substituted
with brown bread and multi grain bread to avoid the harmful effects of
refined flour and to gain good carbohydrates at the same time.
Fibres:
One of the secrets is to eat fibre rich food. Fibres are very essential
for beautiful skin. When you eat rich fibre food, it helps to keep your
skin glossy. The skin of fruits and vegetables is an excellent source
of natural fibre. So fruits like apples and vegetables like cucumbers
and tomatoes should be eaten with skin rather than skinning them. Their
skin contains a lot of fibre and the body can get a good natural source
from it
.
Vitamins: Vitamins
play an important role making the skin beautiful. Vitamin A prevents
acne, repairs the worn tissues, helps in detoxification of toxins from
the body, delays wrinkles and reduces the sebum production in the body.
Good sources of vitamin A are eggs, milk, sweet potatoes, apricots,
peaches, papayas etc. Vitamin B helps to maintain a healthy skin tone by
improving circulation and boosting metabolism. The natural sources of
vitamin B include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables along with milk,
fish, cereals and grains. Reducing wrinkles, improving blood circulation
and treating age spots and sunburns is the work of vitamin C. This make
vitamin C also very important in our diet. Citrus fruits, all the bell
peppers, tomatoes, broccoli are the natural sources of vitamin C and
consumption of these foods will give you flawless skin.
Others:
Yogurt, dairy products and healthy food items needs to be consumed
daily to help the body function properly. If the body functions well,
the skin automatically becomes beautiful.
Natural Products
There
are several natural products like aloe vera, cucumber, different
essential oils etc. which can be used in order to get beautiful skin.
The question is how to get beautiful skin using them? Here are a few
ideas.
* Essential Oils: Oils like Castor oil, coconut oil, lemon oil,
lavender oil are all very beneficial to the skin. Application of these
essential oils helps to cure acne, blemishes on the skin and these oils
also help to get rid of blackheads. These oils also make the skin smooth
and it glows beautifully. Tea tree oil is one of the natural acne
cures.
Fruits & Vegetables: Skins
or peels of vegetables like the cucumber can be applied on the face and
hands to reduce the sun tan and also helps to clear the dead skin.
Fruits like papaya and lemon have the properties that help to reduce the
skin spots and age spots. Tomatoes and potatoes have the qualities of
removing sun tan and sun burn.
Homemade Packs:
Homemade facials and scrubs do not contain chemicals. These can be used
at home on a weekly basis. Honey, eggs, turmeric, milk can be added to
the homemade masks. Scrubs can be made from gram flour, milk and sugar.
These packs are not only safe but they are also very effective.
Others:
Aloe Vera, olive oil, almonds, avocado, yogurt, honey, sandalwood are
all natural products that have skin beautifying capacity. These products
can be used in making masks or in making homemade creams. These
products will not harm your skin, they will only beautify it. Daily
usage of natural products is the answer to how to get beautiful skin at
home.
Water: Water is very good for the body. It helps in maintaining and toning the skin, and helps in the digestion of foods.
